The Rental Shop Assistant Manager is responsible for the development and operation of the Rental Shop and Lessons department at Soda Springs Ski Resort. This role oversees safety, guest service, and staff performance during daily operations, ensuring an efficient and positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations in the Rental Shop and Lessons department, focusing on safety, guest service, and staff management.

• Assign workstations and lessons, review daily labor, and monitor quality of work.

• Work with other departments to ensure accurate lesson and ticket sales, scheduling, and organization.

• Enforce safety procedures and PPE use, ensuring staff work safely around heavy machinery, power tools, chemicals, and hand tools.

• Lead staff meetings and administer safety meetings within the department.

• Ensure staff are in proper uniform and compliant with company policies.

• Conduct staff evaluations and provide feedback to support growth and performance.

• Input instructor hours and lessons in Flaik, and ensure rental techs are clocking in/out accurately.

• Support the Guest Operations Manager with onboarding, training, scheduling, and separation procedures.

• Promote and deliver exceptional guest service to exceed expectations in an atmosphere of safety and friendliness.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience, ideally in ski resort, rental operations, or hospitality.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.

• Knowledge of safety practices and PPE use.

• Ability to multitask and coordinate across multiple departments.

• Excellent communication and guest service skills.

• Willingness to work outdoors and indoors in winter conditions.

• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.

Additional Information

• This is a seasonal leadership position at Soda Springs Ski Resort.

• Training is provided; prior leadership and rental/lessons experience preferred.

• Must be committed to guest service, staff development, and operational excellence.
