Skills
- In-depth knowledge of US international tax rules (GILTI, Subpart F, BEAT, FDII)
- Experience preparing forms 5471/8858/8865 and FBAR filings
- ASC 740 tax provision experience
- Familiarity with transfer pricing and BEPS / Pillar 1 & 2 concepts
- Proficiency with tax software (e.g., OneSource, Tax Series) and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Tax research skills with platforms like RIA Checkpoint, BNA or Wolters Kluwer
- Strong written and verbal communication and audit interaction skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file international tax returns and related forms (GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, BEAT, FTC calculations; forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 8992, 8993, FBARs).
- Coordinate and review local tax accounting and returns for foreign subsidiaries.
- Support and review transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with OECD BEPS, CBC reporting and Pillar 1/2 as applicable.
- Prepare international tax components of quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision.
- Research complex cross-border tax issues (PE, sourcing, taxability) and prepare technical memoranda.
- Advise senior management on tax implications of transactions, M&A and intercompany arrangements.
- Support and manage international tax audits, notices and information requests; communicate with external auditors and advisors.
- Identify tax planning opportunities, potential exposures, and drive improvements in data collection and compliance processes.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- CPA license required
- Master's in Taxation (MST or LLM) preferred
