Ready to Build Platform Features That Power Healthcare Innovation?

We're seeking an independent software developer who can tackle complex product stories and resolve production issues with minimal guidance. As our Software Engineer II, you'll develop features for web and mobile platforms while contributing to sprint planning and bringing technical insights that drive development strategy.

What You'll Actually Do

Develop independently: Build software and resolve defects autonomously while designing, coding, and testing new platform components and enhancements for web and mobile platforms.

Ensure platform stability: Triage incoming bugs and production incidents while investigating and troubleshooting issues across the entire platform ecosystem.

Enhance operations: Perform technical operation tasks including monitoring capability enhancements while helping monitor production systems and raising awareness of emerging issues.

Drive technical planning: Participate in sprint grooming, planning, and kick-off sessions to help estimate stories, raise implementation awareness, and provide technical insights.

Maintain code quality: Write robust unit tests covering edge cases, usability, and reliability while following best practices for software development including testing and monitoring.

Champion technical excellence: Articulate and champion design strategies related to scalability, maintainability, performance, security, and usability.

Qualifications

What You Bring to Our Mission

The development foundation:

• 2+ years software development experience
• Experience with Java and/or .NET (or similar technologies)
• Understanding of Angular and Java frameworks
• Experience developing services and APIs

The technical expertise:

• Outstanding problem-solving skills with solid grasp of object-oriented programming
• Understanding of best practices for software development including testing, monitoring, and design
• Unit testing expertise with knowledge of how to write effective unit tests
• Ability to contribute to technical discussions with openness to listen and learn from peers

The professional qualities:

• Strong communication skills with openness to collaborate and enthusiasm for team delivery
• Passion and drive for learning new technologies and applying them pragmatically
• Ability to articulate technical concepts and champion strategic design decisions

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually. Note that compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for 10% target bonus/variable compensation as well as health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
