Persona AI is developing and commercializing rugged, multi-purpose humanoid robots that perform real work. Persona’s founding team has a decades-long history in humanoid robotics, bionics, and product development delivering robust hardware that has touched the stars, worked miles below the surface of the ocean, and even roamed Disney Parks. Our mission is focused squarely on shipping beautiful, reliable products at massive scale, while building a customer-focused team to achieve these aims.
We're looking for an exceptional Machine Learning Engineer (Data Infrastructure) who dreams big, thrives on challenges, and loves building the infrastructure that powers intelligent robots at scale. You have a passion for data systems and believe magic happens when massive datasets become actionable insights.
We are primarily interested in candidates who have built production-grade data infrastructure that enables machine learning at scale. As a Machine Learning Engineer (Data Infrastructure) at Persona, you will have an incredible opportunity to design the data backbone that enables our humanoid robots to learn and improve continuously from real-world interactions. If you're passionate about creating technology that seamlessly scales from individual robots to global fleets and want to be part of a world-class team, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines for the entire data lifecycle from robot hardware, on-prem servers, to cloud storage.
Manage data versioning and monitor robot data quality with qualitative metrics important to Persona AI’s Machine Learning objectives.
Write robust and performant software to curate, transfer, and store large quantities of data from our robot fleets.
Collaborate closely with ML and robotics engineers to continuously maintain and improve the data pipelines.
Design on-robot triggers that determine if and when robot data should be uploaded.
Automate ETL pipelines to make fleet-wide data easily queryable and available to train on.
Automate data movement between data farms and deployment to cloud datacenters
Build frontend tools for visualizing and automating labeling of web-scale datasets.
A production-oriented engineering mindset with experience shipping reliable, scalable systems.
A performance optimization savvy who is not only comfortable with low-level bits and multithreading, but also with high-level distributed systems.
Expertise in Python and experience with C++ and distributed computing frameworks.
A friendly, collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and excitement to work hands-on in a dynamic, supportive team environment.
A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating your specific contributions to large-scale data infrastructure projects.
Have built a petabyte-scale data-engine to handle a fleet of robots.
Experience with the following technologies: Databases, Ansible, Docker.
Familiar with general robotics and robot learning algorithms.
Experience with edge computing and data synchronization in robotics applications.
Why join Persona AI?
You'll shape technology that's redefining the possibilities of robotics and human interaction.
Work alongside passionate teammates who value diversity, creativity, and continuous learning.
Enjoy full access to advanced prototyping tools, labs, and the freedom to experiment and innovate.
We offer competitive compensation, excellent benefits, flexible work environment, and equity opportunities.
Not sure if you meet all the listed qualifications? That’s okay!
We encourage you to apply anyway. Our needs are constantly evolving, and we're always looking for talented individuals who can grow with us. You might be exactly who we’re looking for — even if it’s for a role we haven’t thought of yet.
