Director of Distribution and Logistics, Americas

Leading manufacturer/retailer seeking a Director of Distribution and Logistics to own distribution strategy and operations across the Americas. The role will drive network optimization, oversee DCs and transportation, manage P&L and vendors, and build high-performing teams to deliver service, cost and compliance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute end-to-end distribution and logistics strategy for the Americas region
  • Oversee regional distribution centers, cross-dock operations and transportation networks
  • Manage P&L, budgeting, cost-to-serve targets and continuous improvement programs
  • Lead carrier procurement and negotiations, including SLAs and KPI governance
  • Partner with supply chain planning, procurement, customs and operations to ensure on-time delivery
  • Implement and optimize WMS/TMS processes and digital supply chain tools
  • Build, mentor and scale cross-functional logistics teams across countries
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, import/export controls and safety standards
  • Drive metrics, reporting and executive-level communications on performance and risks
  • Lead transformation projects (network redesign, automation, cost reduction)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred
  • Relevant logistics or operations certifications helpful (e.g., CSCMP, APICS, Six Sigma)
