Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a global compliance control inventory mapped to risks, obligations, and policies.
- Oversee and coordinate periodic control effectiveness assessments and control testing with Monitoring & Testing, Risk, and Internal Audit.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of compliance issues: intake, documentation in GRC/ERM, remediation planning, validation, and closure.
- Provide governance reporting and dashboards on control effectiveness, issue status, trends, and remediation progress to senior management, board, and regulators.
- Monitor aging and overdue issues, drive accountability, and escalate as required.
- Partner with control owners on new or modified controls as products and jurisdictions evolve.
- Build, lead, and mentor a globally distributed team and define the strategic direction of the function.
- Chair or contribute to control and issue governance forums and support internal/regulatory audit requests related to controls and issues.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, JD) preferred but not required
