Skills
- 3+ years working with Rails backend
- 3+ years with a frontend JavaScript framework (preferably React)
- Strong experience with Python
- Solid understanding of API design and backend integration
- Experience with testing governance, risk assessment, and mitigation
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to translate senior leadership direction into actionable tasks
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the Test User Portal (frontend and Rails backend)
- Collaborate with VA engineering teams to understand developer needs and surface technical solutions
- Implement developer-experience improvements to reduce defects, toil, and increase test confidence
- Help define, implement, and enforce testing policies, procedures, standards, and requirements
- Perform risk assessments related to testing and propose mitigation strategies
- Provide training and awareness for testing governance programs across teams
- Work under the Tech Lead’s guidance to translate leadership direction into concrete tasks
- Participate in Agile/Scrum rituals (sprints, stand-ups) and break down technical items for stakeholders
