We are looking for a passionate, outstanding Sr. Software Engineer for the GPU Software team to develop platforms and software for Media & Entertainment and Broadcasting industry. The successful engineer needs to have domain expertise in the areas of media technologies used by TV studios, Broadcasters and content creators. You have to demonstrate a validated understanding of software development principles and the willingness to work collaboratively and remotely with other teams, to architect complex software solutions. The candidate must exhibit autonomy in their work and partnership across different departments. What you will be doing:
Work on the architecture for innovative solutions targeting the Media and Entertainment industry.
Develop and maintain SW technologies for enabling and supporting NVIDIA's GPU and DPU hardware.
Work on NVIDIA platforms to enable efficient usage of the hardware for video, audio and data flows
Lead an entire software lifecycle
Work with and influence other internal worldwide teams (AI, software, hardware, OEM support).
Represent NVIDIA at Industry Standard bodies.
What we need to see:
Bachelor's/Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
10+ years "hands on" experience developing and architecting solutions for the broadcasting industry.
Knowledge of SMPTE 2110, AMWA NMOS and related standards.
Cloud-focused experience (containers, Kubernetes, OAuth, building applications for cloud)
Strong software engineering skills combined with a drive to solve hard problems are a must.
Excellent programming skills in Python, C or C++.

Strong written and oral communication skills to collaborate with engineers, worldwide.
Knowledge in video encoding, decoding and streaming technologies.
Knowledge of graphics APIs, like Vulkan and OpenGL.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
