Stepful is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to enhance their Learning Management System and support innovative career services while leveraging AI technology. This role offers an exciting opportunity to impact the healthcare education sector through advanced technology development.

Responsibilities: Develop and iterate on the Learning Management System, empower career services, optimize internal workforce platforms, manage content at scale, and ensure reliable data accessibility.

Skills: 10+ years in full-stack engineering experience, proficient in React, Typescript, Ruby on Rails, and PostgreSQL, with strong problem-solving and full development lifecycle skills.

Qualifications: Experience in a direct-to-consumer startup, particularly in EdTech or Healthcare is a bonus; strong drive to make a meaningful impact is essential.

Location: Located in New York; role likely requires onsite presence, as direct address is specified.

Compensation: $188000 - $238000 / Annually

What you can expect to be working on:

• World Class Learning Experience: Develop and iterate on an advanced Learning Management System that generates outcomes! Focus on seamless UX, adaptive learning, peer-to-peer engagement, gamification and motivational mechanisms.
• Innovative Career Services: Empower graduates to find jobs and match our growing network of clinical partners. Apply generative AI to the job-seeking process, from resume generation to interview training.
• Empower the Internal Workforce: Design and maintain platforms for instructors, TAs, coaches, and operators to optimize student success. Leverage generative AI to maximize its impact on students' lives.
• Cutting Edge Content Management: Generate and maintain content at scale that adapts to evolving educational needs. Build the technology to create new curricula in a fraction of the time and iterate to maximize students' learning.

This job is for you if you have:

• 10+ years of full-stack engineering experience
• Eat, sleep and breathe at least one of part of our stack (React, Typescript, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL), you will learn the rest
• Relentlessly obsess over solving complex problems with cutting-edge technology and willing to learn something new every day
• Find excitement in joining an early-stage company and are not afraid of building something new
• Are strongly driven to make an impact in people's lives
• Have built something meaningful to you, before
• Can take ownership of the whole development lifecycle (this means you are comfortable operating full-stack)

Bonus points if:

• You have previous experience in a direct-to-consumer startup, especially within EdTech/Healthcare

Interview Process:

Step 1: Intro call with Talent Acquisition

Step 2: Non-technical interview with Hiring Manager

Step 3: Fullstack live coding (remote)

Step 4: Onsite interview with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Compensation:

New Hire Base Salary Bands:

Staff I - $188,000-$238,000

Please note we do not have a bonus structure at this time so all cash compensation will come in the form of base salary. The total compensation package will also include our benefits package and an equity (ISOs) package.

Compensation for this role will fall within the pay range listed and will be determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications as well as interview evaluation. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
