NVIDIA is a world leader in physical AI, powering self-driving cars, humanoid robots, intelligent environments, medical devices and more. Our software platforms are at the core of this mission, enabling innovators to build world-changing products that save lives, improve working conditions, and elevate standards of living across the globe.
The emergence of Vision-Language-Action models capable of fusing data from cameras, radars, lidars, ultrasonics, is now driving an industry shift from on-device to centralized sensor processing. We are seeking a founding director to define and lead the NVIDIA Sensor AI Platform, a unified software stack and partner ecosystem to enable OEMs to provide their models with rich sensor data at the speed of light. This is a career-defining chance to initiate a new technology platform, advance AI by fueling data center growth, and improve the experience of NVIDIA's developers.
What you'll be doing:
Developing a new product: Defining the product vision and strategy to unite our imaging, DSP, Holoscan Sensor Bridge, and multimedia engineering teams behind a single, cohesive SDK and unified API capable of serving AV, robotics, medical, geospatial, and more.
Building the business: Architecting the multi-channel go-to-market strategy. This will include a robust ecosystem of sensor vendors, module integrators, channel partners, ISVs, and GSIs to enable thousands of OEMs in diverse industries to easily take their products from conception to mass production. You will accelerate the conversion of design wins to volume shipments by eliminating key sensor integration barriers. Your primary commercial contribution is accelerating embedded SoC volume and enabling the data pipelines that drive data center GPU sales
Leading through influence: forging a single, compelling platform strategy informed by our full breadth of product and software experience. Building alignment and active support from engineering and vertical organizations for this strategy.
Enabling the field: Partnering with our solutions architects, solutions engineers, DevRel, and account managers to ensure they are equipped to succeed, and establishing feedback loops to drive product improvements and simplify developer experience.
Driving with data: Defining and implementing a framework for key performance indicators focused on Time-to-Success (TTS), Support Efficiency, and scale of third-party sensor data available for datacenter training and validation activities. You will build the systems needed for product observability and business intelligence.
Founding a team: Strategically hiring and mentoring a small, elite product team to increase insights and impact of the new platform.
What we need to see:
12+ overall years of management experience in SDK or platform software product development. Consistent record of defining and launching products that address developer and enterprise needs and deliver predictable and smooth developer experience.
M.S., Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related technology area.
6+ years of leadership experience in high-leverage, individual contributor or small-team leadership roles. Successful ownership of multiple products achieving outsized commercial impact relative to team size.
Deep technical understanding of high-throughput sensor pipelines (e.g., cameras, lidar, radar) and the surrounding ecosystem.
Ability to translate technical and business complexities into simple, scalable platform abstractions.
Outstanding cross-functional leadership and influencing skills to successfully navigate a highly matrixed organization. As a product management team inside a core engineering organization, you will need to build strong connections into vertical product, marketing, and business teams across NVIDIA to amplify your impact and achieve your vision.
Strong discernment and experience in crafting go-to-market strategies and nurturing partner ecosystems.
Empathy and determination to build and develop an outstanding product serving demanding and extremely fast-moving customers, aligned with broader NVIDIA engineering and business strategies.
Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:
Background in self-driving, robotics, medical, or geospatial AI.
Experience in engineering, product marketing, or ecosystem marketing roles.
