Responsibilities
- Represent the National Alliance before Congress, federal agencies, and the executive branch to promote charter school priorities
- Analyze, shape, and advance federal policy and appropriations proposals affecting charter school growth, funding, and autonomy
- Track and assess congressional activity (hearings, markups, legislation) and advise internal teams on implications
- Lead policymaker education and outreach to build bipartisan support for pro-charter policies
- Coordinate with national policy partners, state and local charter associations, and coalitions to amplify the charter community’s voice
- Serve as the National Alliance representative at coalition meetings, congressional briefings, and key stakeholder forums
- Respond to congressional and partner requests for information, technical assistance, and policy expertise
- Collaborate with the Charter School Action Fund and partner organizations on strategic political engagement
Education
- Bachelor's degree required
- Advanced degree in public policy, law, education, or related field preferred
