- Valid dental hygiene licensure in good standing with the State Dental Board
- Ability to perform periodontal procedures and scaling/root planing
- Patient education and motivational interviewing
- Accurate charting and collaboration on treatment planning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Dentrix preferred
- Teamwork and patient-focused service
Responsibilities
- Perform periodontal procedures in accordance with state dental board requirements and best clinical practices
- Educate patients on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease and links to systemic health
- Chart periodontal conditions and collaborate with the dentist to develop appropriate treatment plans
- Work with the team to manage scheduling and ensure an exceptional patient experience
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper function of practice equipment and operatory areas
Education
- Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current state dental hygiene licensure
- Completion of required continuing education to maintain licensure
