- Object-oriented programming with Java
- Spring Frameworks and Hibernate experience
- Designing and implementing microservices and REST APIs
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and services such as S3, SQS, SNS
- Relational databases and SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL preferred)
- Event-driven systems and Kafka
- Containerization (Docker) and Linux fundamentals
- Front-end development familiarity (React, Sass, JavaScript) is a plus
- CI/CD pipeline understanding and QA mindset
- Experience handling PHI and HIPAA-compliant systems
Responsibilities
- Drive complex system design in collaboration with the architecture team.
- Perform code reviews and mentor engineers on best practices.
- Make key design and technical implementation decisions and guide engineering vision.
- Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, reliable, developer-friendly microservice APIs.
- Design, build, and maintain sustainable systems that support business applications.
- Improve engineering processes, evangelize best practices, and contribute to CI/CD and release activities.
- Contribute to and execute compliance and HIPAA/PHI-related initiatives.
- Develop new functionality and maintain existing components across the stack.
Education
- BS in Computer Science or a comparable program (or equivalent experience)
- Required completion of HIPAA/PHI, policies/procedures, and security training within 30 days of hire
- Ongoing completion of company training requirements
