Associate Analyst, Revenue Management

This role is based out of Miami, FL with a hybrid schedule requiring 3-4 days per week in-office. It is not eligible for remote work.

Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Miami office, or be willing to relocate at own expense to the area within 2-4 weeks of accepting the offer of employment.

This position is with Interval International, Inc., an operating business of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation (“MVW” or “the Company”).

Job Summary

  • Participates in the development and ongoing administration of a sophisticated revenue management strategy designed to maximize revenue and sales of inventory while protecting existing channels (Membership & Developers).
  • Works closely with the Revenue Management leadership team ensuring that pricing strategies optimize yields.
  • Ensures that all related policies conform to applicable SOX guidelines.
  • Specific Expected Contributions
  • Develops flexible, dynamic, and successful strategies for pricing of Interval inventory and accurately forecasts results.
  • Creates, maintains, and distributes inventory forecast reports to internal (and external, as applicable) contacts.
  • Assists with the development of reliable systems to support pricing strategies and results forecasting.
  • Analyzes results of pricing strategies, systems, and forecasts to ensure that goals are achieved.
  • Compiles and analyzes key performance metrics, develops and initiates solutions to minimize exposure to revenue risks and maximize revenue potential.
  • Assists in development and ongoing management of distribution channels.
  • Performs ongoing market analysis and segmentation.
  • Forecasts inventory demands by purchaser type and distribution channel and ensures appropriate allocation (volumes and timing) among these channels to optimize utilization rates and revenues. Analyzes results of pricing strategies, systems, and forecasts to ensure that goals are achieved.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, industrial engineering, mathematics, statistics, financial analysis, or similar relevant coursework or a related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience

  • 0-2 years of progressive experience in Revenue Management, Inventory Management, or Financial Statistical Analysis within the hospitality industry (preferably with one of the larger chains that operates multiple brands targeted at different segments).

Skills and Attributes

  • Required proficiency in analytical and database software, including Excel, Access, SQL developer, Power BI, and VBA scripting.
  • Strong background in data mining, statistical analysis, and forecasting.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
