The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Business Transformation Lead, the Business Analyst works with stakeholders from the business units and related third parties in support of efforts and projects focused and aligned with Finance Management of the Americas (FMA) goals and objectives to drive operational efficiencies and scalability, reduce risk, support product implementations, develop and enhance business process management including but not limited to system and technology capabilities, vendor services and tools, data migration and integrity, and project lifecycle support of systems implementations, data solutions, and process redesign and implementation.

Major Responsibilities:

Depending on the project assignment, responsibilities may include some or all, but are not limited to:

  • Elicit and document high-level business requirements and objectives.

  • Translate business needs into actionable solutions and system capabilities.

  • Prepare and present business cases to executive leadership.

  • Build and manage relationships with internal business partners and ITA.

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to ensure usability and user experience alignment.

  • Resolve stakeholder concerns and ensure satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.

  • Lead end-to-end solution implementations independently.

  • Support QA teams with test plans, traceability matrices, and validation.

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on system and data initiatives.

  • Familiarity with reporting platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) and ability to build reporting solutions for various business teams to address their reporting needs.

  • Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands.

  • Ability to work independently and manage end-to-end solution implementations.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of scalable data models, dashboards, and reporting tools.

  • Act as a liaison between finance, operations, and technology teams to ensure alignment on data priorities.

  • Lead workshops and working groups to gather requirements and drive consensus on analytical solutions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of Banking, Finance and/or Accounting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Advanced negotiation and communication skills

  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities

  • Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles

  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and take initiative

  • Ability to understand the long-term big picture and short-term perspectives of situations

  • A true team player and collaborator, translating prior knowledge and experience into strong and productive relationships internally and externally

  • Thorough understanding of database development and design, with particular emphasis on the data warehouse needs specific to Treasury and Front Office activities

  • Demonstrate a hands-on approach to develop insightful, value-added, actionable analytics

  • Strong use case, business process mapping and other tools

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are a plus

The typical base pay range for this role is between $128K - $161K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
