Maintainer’s Helper – Group B (Auto Mechanic Helper) Exam No. 5624 Application Period May 1, 2025 – June 15, 2025 Exam Fee $68.00 (plus 2.95% service fee if paying by card) Test Dates Saturday, July 26 or Sunday, July 27, 2025 (assigned randomly) Salary Starting May 16, 2025, the hourly wage will be:

• Minimum $25.89/hour (40-hour workweek)
• Maximum $36.98/hour after six years of service Job Description Maintainer’s Helpers – Group B assist in the maintenance, installation, inspection, testing, alteration, and repair of bus and automotive electro-mechanical equipment. Responsibilities include:
• Cleaning and lubricating parts
• Moving parts/equipment with machinery (forklifts, hoists, etc.)
• Checking fluid levels
• Changing tires and fuel buses
• Performing sandblasting and oil draining
• Driving buses and trucks
• Responding to alarms, using safety gear, and working in various weather conditions Special Working Conditions

• Pension plan How to Qualify By June 15, 2025 (experience) or June 15, 2026 (education), you must meet one of the following:

1. Four years of full-time experience assisting in automotive/aircraft mechanical work
2. Graduation from a vocational high school in automotive maintenance
3. Graduation from a trade/technical school with at least 600 hours in auto-mechanics
4. Associate degree or higher in auto-mechanics
5. High school diploma + three years of relevant experience Part-time experience is prorated. Foreign education must be evaluated by an approved agency. Test Information A multiple-choice exam covering:

• Tool usage
• Automotive theory
• Electrical equipment knowledge
• Reading comprehension
