About the role:
The Platform Engineering group owns and operates the core systems that enable collaboration across Modular—from multi-cloud infrastructure to a distributed CI system to insight and analytics dashboards. In the Software Development Life Cycle team, we directly support development.
We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our team building the developer experience at Modular. In this role, you will support developers both inside and outside Modular, enabling them to innovate quickly across a variety of technologies and platforms. We are looking for someone passionate about helping others succeed.
LOCATION: This role will be based in our office in Los Altos, CA.
What you will do:
- Build and deploy multi-cloud applications for CI, benchmarking, and release
- Develop code in multiple different languages — C++, Python, our new language Mojo
- Administer our internal development, testing, and release processes

- Proficiency in software development with C++, Python, or other languages

The estimated base salary range for this role to be performed in the US, regardless of the state, is $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD.
The estimated base salary range for this role to be performed in Canada, regardless of the province, is $128,000.00 - $156,000.00 CAD.
The salary for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of permissible, non-discriminatory job-related factors, which include but are not limited to education, training, work experience, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future. The total compensation for a candidate will also include annual target bonus, equity, and benefits, with equity making up a significant portion of your total compensation.
