Staff Software Engineer

Our client is a premier vehicle software supplier that is accelerating the adoption of safe, intelligent machines globally. They are trusted by 18 of the top 20 automakers and serve a wide range of industries, from automotive and trucking to agriculture and defense. Since their founding in 2017, they have grown to a team of 750 employees with over $601.5M in funding.

The company provides advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving (AD) toolchains, and vehicle platforms, positioning them at the forefront of the autonomy space.

Our client is looking for Staff Software Engineers to design and implement elegant solutions for difficult problems in the autonomy space. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of technical and product decisions, working across a full suite of products that includes infrastructure, robotics, and graphics.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing new products, features, and tools across the entire stack.
• Identifying and solving complex architectural challenges.
• Leading implementation and influencing technical strategy across teams.
• Collaborating with experts in infrastructure, robotics, and graphics.

We are seeking exceptional engineers with a background in dynamic, fast-paced environments. We're looking for individuals who have a history of shipping complex software and designing solutions to difficult architectural problems.

Must-Haves:

• 7–10 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience at a high-growth, VC-backed startup (Seed–Series B) is highly preferred.
• Experience designing and implementing solutions to complex architectural problems.
• Strong skills in at least one of the following: C++, Python, TypeScript, or Golang.
• Ability to work on-site, 5 days a week, in Mountain View, CA.

Bonus Points:

• Experience as a founder or founding engineer.
• Experience with robotics middleware (e.g., ROS) or simulation tools.
• A CS degree from a top university.
• Evidence of exceptional achievements, such as a rapid career trajectory.

• Salary: $230,000–$323,000 per year
• Visa Sponsorship: TN or H1B (others on a case-by-case basis)
