The Peace Officer Lab Assistant plays a vital role in supporting student learning and ensuring a safe, well-organized lab environment. This position provides direct oversight and guidance to students during lab sessions, reinforcing instructional objectives while maintaining safety protocols. The Lab Assistant serves as a resource for students, offering hands-on support and fostering a productive learning atmosphere aligned with program goals. This responsibility is considered essential, as it directly supports the core function of the lab and requires specialized knowledge of law enforcement procedures and safety standards.
In addition to student oversight, the Lab Assistant is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and cleaning lab classrooms to ensure readiness for instruction and demonstrations. This includes managing supply inventory and coordinating materials needed for efficient and effective lab experiments. The role requires a high level of accountability and attention to detail, with discretion level A, allowing the employee to make informed decisions, take appropriate action, and report outcomes through standard review processes. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong commitment to public safety education and a proactive approach to supporting academic excellence.
Salary Range: $20.58 -$28.35 hourly
