Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Technical Trainer to join our Customer Training Team in Grand Prairie, TX.
The Sr Technical Trainer provides Maintenance Training to operator or MRO’s aircraft maintenance technicians in compliance with relevant regulation standards to allow them to maintain Airbus products.

Your challenges:
Technical Instruction (Classroom and Laboratory): 80%
Deliver technical instruction to customers and company personnel on Airbus Helicopter products and associated equipment. This includes theory and practical exercises for classes several weeks in duration.
Administer course exams/quizzes and homework to trainees.
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
Determines effectiveness of training programs by monitoring feedback and making improvements as necessary.
Maintain proficiency IAW changes in technology and maintenance procedures.
Act as the “face of Airbus Helicopters” and host to trainees while onsite, ensuring they receive an excellent customer experience.
Train and mentor new instructors.
Maintain qualifications equal to or greater than Referent Instructor for at least one aircraft type.
Support Equipment: 10%
Develop and maintain training devices, mock-ups, and tools used during practical instruction.
Maintain an organized and safe classroom and training hangar environment.
Administration: 10%
Responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of required training documentation/student transcripts and submitting in a timely manner at the conclusion of the course.
Incorporate revisions and modifications to course material IAW ASB, SB, and other relevant documentation.
Assist in the development of homework, quizzes, and exam questions.

Minimum of three (3) years of Instructor experience on Helicopters.
Minimum five (5) year experience of field maintenance on Airbus helicopter products.
Experience in ground operations/handling of the assigned aircraft.

Airbus Technical Instructor experience
Licensure/Certifications:

FAA Airframe & Powerplant or equivalent License from other CAA authority

Qualified Skills:
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Required:
Extensive knowledge of helicopter mechanical theory, field maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspection, testing and troubleshooting, blueprints, wiring diagrams, inspection guides, and engineering/technical directives.
Aircraft systems, flight characteristics, and maintenance techniques
Formal instructor experience.
Preferred:
Familiarity with EASA/TCCA/FAA Part 147 rules and regulations as applicable.
Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in English.
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
Strong ability to deliver information using a variety of techniques so that students with different experience levels and backgrounds are able to grasp and retain the information presented.

Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Several times a week
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
