Serving 16 East Tennessee counties, the EVC offers a wide range of person-centered services including supported living, residential habilitation, vocational training, and supported employment. Responsibilities

As a Teacher at the Early Learning Center, your day-to-day responsibilities would include planning and implementing classroom activities, supervising children to ensure safety, assisting with personal care needs like diapering, feeding, and toileting, maintaining a clean and engaging learning environment, encouraging positive behaviors, and documenting each child’s daily experiences and developmental progress. You’ll play an essential role in creating a nurturing, inclusive space where every child is supported and celebrated.

  • Classroom Engagement: Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily activities.
  • Child Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children through active monitoring.
  • Personal Care Support: Help with diapering, toileting, feeding, and other care routines.
  • Environment Maintenance: Keep the classroom clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Behavior Guidance: Foster positive behavior using consistent routines and positive reinforcement.
  • Record-Keeping: Document children’s daily activities and developmental progress.
