What you will be doing 

You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Product Development Stress Engineer I  and can expect to be involved in the following:  

• Analyzing and sizing primary structure on Airbus Commercial Aircraft.
• Document analyses in support of trade studies and/or certification projects.
• Typical tools used are: Hypermesh, MS Excel, Google Suite and an Airbus proprietary analysis tool.
• In the first few months you will learn Airbus methods of sizing structure and certification documentation requirements
• You will learn the concepts of structural analysis and how to apply the concepts to structural sizing. 
• Overseas placements are determined on either project need basis or employee development need.  US based rotational placements will canter on Airbus Americas Engineering locations.
• Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.
• Throughout the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of Product Development Stress Engineer I!

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:

• A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
• Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural design and analysis and mechanics of materials. (0 - 3 years of experience)
• Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
• A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
• The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
• Ability to work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship
