Responsibilities
- Own and drive roadmap and implementation for multiple backend domains, balancing short- and long-term priorities
- Design and make technical architecture decisions for scalable, secure payment systems
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs, ensuring reliability and performance
- Work with Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD to deploy and scale production systems
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to engineers across teams
- Collaborate with product, design, and leadership to shape product and technical strategy
- Champion security-first engineering, DevSecOps, and infrastructure-as-code best practices
- Perform testing, debugging, incident response, and continuous performance optimization
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree (MS) preferred but not required
- Relevant certifications or continuous learning in cloud, security, or distributed systems are a plus
