The People Inc. Summer Internship Program is a 9 week full time, paid program that runs from June 9th - August 8th, based out of our New York office. The intern program consists of hands-on learning opportunities to create work that has an impact on the business, along with workshops in preparing you for post-college life (resume / interviewing) plus fun events throughout the summer!

Eligibility Requirements:
Internships are available to current Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors at an accredited college or university.
You must be available to work full time for the entire 9 weeks of the program in the NY office, 3 days a week
You must have access to your own housing and transportation to/from the NY office
About the Team:
The Healthy Domains team ensures that People Inc.’s content ecosystem remains high-quality, discoverable, and aligned with modern search standards. We focus on technical SEO and platform-level optimizations that improve how our content is understood, indexed, and ranked by search engines. By strengthening site architecture, optimizing domain performance, and implementing SEO best practices at scale, we help maximize visibility and deliver trustworthy information to users.

About the Role:
As an intern on the Healthy Domains team, you will work on the technical systems that shape search performance and domain health, contributing improvements to structured data, metadata, sitemaps, crawl optimization, and other SEO components. You will take on well-scoped engineering tasks, lead a focused project such as enhancing domain-health tooling or building SEO automations, and collaborate with engineers, SEO specialists, and editorial teams to validate changes and support cross-functional search strategies.
Internship Responsibilities will Include:
Implement improvements to technical SEO components, including structured data, meta configuration, sitemaps, and crawl optimization.
Address well-scoped engineering tasks related to domain health metrics, link integrity, and site performance.
Lead a scoped internship project, such as enhancing a domain-health dashboard, building an SEO automation tool, or improving search-facing platform components.
Collaborate with SEO specialists, editorial partners, and engineering teams to validate changes and contribute to cross-functional search strategies.
About You:
Candidates for this role should have:
Foundational knowledge in web engineering, particularly HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic web architecture concepts.
Interest or introductory exposure to technical SEO topics such as structured data, rendering behavior, or performance optimization (not required, but a plus).
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Open to new challenges and excited to grow within a fast-paced, expanding, and constantly evolving organization
Creative and driven self-starter that can take direction and run with it, asking questions up front to ensure you’re able to complete the task successfully
Motivated problem solver who will proactively troubleshoot and create solution
Experience with Google & Microsoft Suites
Some experience with digital media is a plus but not required

Pay Range
Hourly: New York: $20.00 - $20.00The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
