Skills
- Proven leadership managing teams of developers (6+ developers preferred).
- Strong full-stack web development experience and ability to design, build, and launch web applications end-to-end.
- Proficiency designing relational schemas and writing complex SQL queries (3+ years).
- Solid understanding of web security best practices and secure coding.
- Experience with git in a team environment and CI/CD/continuous deployment workflows.
- Comfortable working inside and outside frameworks and able to ship frequently in an agile environment.
- Effective communicator and mentor with a get-things-done attitude.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and accelerate growth for a team of engineers through feedback, technical guidance, and performance management.
- Manage day-to-day activities of the software development team and own feature delivery from design through production and beyond.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and building an inclusive, high-performing team.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional partners to deliver impactful product on reasonable timelines.
- Write code when needed and maintain hands-on technical involvement to unblock the team.
- Ensure delivered code is secure, readable, testable, and scalable; promote best practices and continuous deployment.
- Foster a sustainable work/life balance and positive team culture aligned with company mission.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
- Equivalent technical experience will be considered in lieu of formal degree.
