Senior Software Engineer - Marketplace Operations
Skills
- Strong backend development experience in one or more languages such as C#, Java, Python, or Go
- Experience building distributed, highly available systems and microservices
- Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and reliability patterns
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Proficient with RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and data stores (SQL/NoSQL)
- Practical experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability tools
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs that support marketplace inventory, fulfillment, and post-purchase workflows
- Architect scalable, mission-critical systems with strong reliability and observability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, data, support, platform) to define requirements and deliver customer-focused features
- Drive code quality through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD best practices
- Instrument features with metrics and use real-world feedback to iterate and improve systems
- Mentor peers and contribute to engineering best practices, architecture reviews, and technical roadmap
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Continued learning or relevant industry certifications are a plus
