Skills
- Proficient in embedded C and C++ development
- Experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG/SWD, serial consoles)
- Familiarity with microcontroller platforms (ARM Cortex-M or similar)
- Exposure to RTOS concepts (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of common hardware interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)
- Version control experience (Git) and basic CI/testing practices
- Ability to write clear firmware-level tests and diagnostics
- Strong problem-solving and hands-on hardware bring-up experience
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and unit-test embedded firmware for avionics controllers using C/C++
- Collaborate with avionics hardware and test engineering teams for bring-up and integration
- Implement and validate vehicle-wide communication, control, and telemetry protocols
- Use and maintain debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG/SWD, serial consoles) during hardware debugging and validation
- Participate in code reviews, CI/testing pipelines, and controlled release processes
- Create and maintain technical documentation, firmware specifications, and test plans
- Support system-level integration, flight testing activities, and anomaly resolution
- Contribute to architecture discussions to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant coursework or projects in embedded systems, digital electronics, or firmware design
