A Day in the Life

As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will be responsible for supporting production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring high-quality manufacturing operations. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams to enhance efficiency, solve technical challenges, and meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and optimize workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with Medtronic quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Must-Have: Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of experience.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Prior experience at a Medtronic manufacturing site
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and statistical analysis tools.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$68,000.00 - $102,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
