Montgomery College’s Workforce Development and Continuing Education Unit is seeking one full-time Adult Education Instructors to teach in-person for the GED® Program at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, a maximum-security facility located in Boyds, Maryland. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This is a non-bargaining, exempt, grade 25 position.
Under general direction and/or supervision, the incumbent provides instruction in adult basic education as needed in order to (1) pass two sections of the GED® exam, including English Language Arts and Social Studies, or (2) develop basic English language skills, using established curricula, materials and assessment data. The incumbent in this position plans and delivers instruction targeting learner needs and goals.
Instructors will be expected to complete detailed, daily reports; abide by all College policies and procedures; and abide by all policies and procedures set by the Montgomery County Department of Corrections.
This is a temporary position with benefits funded through June 30, 2026. Employment continuation beyond this period is contingent upon need and funding.

Hiring Range: $59,887-$77,830 annually. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $95,773.
