About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Plant Operations team in Moab, UT. In this pivotal role, you will drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional projects that are central to our mission. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, AI, and operations, helping to shape and implement the software-first approach that sets Mariana Minerals apart.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution:
Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of capital project delivery, from site development to full commissioning.
Develop and manage project schedules, define scopes of work, allocate resources, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Build and track project budgets, maintaining rigorous financial oversight and milestone accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Align internal stakeholders across Engineering, Construction, Procurement, AI, and Operations to execute against project goals.
Engage with external partners, including contractors, permitting agencies, and local officials, to secure smooth approvals and on-schedule execution.
Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to schedule, cost, technical complexity, and scope creep.
Drive proactive decision-making and contingency planning to minimize delays and protect critical path.
Communication & Reporting:
Provide clear and concise updates to stakeholders at all levels—executive leadership, technical teams, and external partners.
Serve as the central point for escalation and issue resolution across all project workstreams.
Software Design:
Play a key role in the evolution of Mariana’s CapitalProjectOS, MineOS, and PlantOS operating systems. Suggest improvements, test new features, and champion our software-first mentality.
Process Improvement:
Develop and implement best practices for project management and communication to drive efficiency and continuous improvement across the organization.
Technical Expertise:
Leverage your technical background to understand product requirements, assess technical risks, and guide technical teams toward successful outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience managing complex technical programs or projects, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, or plant operations environments.
Strong technical background (engineering, computer science, or related field).
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with software development lifecycles and tools is a plus.
Passion for process improvement and a bias for action.
