The Senior Fixed Income Credit Analyst is responsible for providing timely, actionable, and accurate investment analysis and Buy/Hold/Sell recommendations to the various investment teams in helping them build focused, high-performing and well-structured portfolios. The Senior Analyst is responsible for determining and compiling sources of information to conduct their own independent analysis as well as to support and mentor junior investment staff.
Functions must be performed in the context of the unique client-defined investment strategy. The work contributes to the strategy’s successful performance and the Company’s ability to raise assets. The investment analysis performed includes fundamental reviews of individual companies and interpreting market data, trends and economic forecasts.
Position Responsibilities:
Analyze specific companies, interpret market trends and examine assigned sector activity in order to provide information and analysis required in the investment decision-making process. Experienced analyst typically covers several industry sectors and/or more complex asset classes. Supports more than one investment strategy team
Meet with company management and sell-side analysts to determine the short- and long-term outlook of a company. Provide verbal and written reviews of company meeting to other analysts and portfolio managers. Develop and cultivate relationships with company management and the Street in order broaden knowledge of assigned companies and industries
Complete fundamental analysis, including the analysis financial statements to make buy, sell, hold recommendations
Complete research including conducting credit analysis and/or analysis of classes of securities, market trends, yield and duration relationships, and pricing trends between different fixed-income sectors
Construct financial models that incorporate investment guidelines and parameters to accurately review relevant security selections
Develop and maintain investment thesis and assemble data points to make specific security recommendations to portfolio management team(s)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, may hold advanced degree (MBA etc) and/or CFA Charter
Typically has 5+ years of investment or relevant business experience
Superior analytic skills to complete detailed fundamental analysis. Ability to construct investment models to identify and track value added securities
Strong team player
Strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver reviews and recommendations. Ability to articulate highly technical information with conviction
Strong understanding of business and economics in order to research target companies and determine potentially profitable investments
Strong sense of judgment and self-discipline in order to evaluate multiple opportunities and make appropriate investment decisions
Ability to work without direction and think creatively and independently
Problems/Challenges:
Manage a large amount of information on numerous companies in various industries. Ability to conduct research globally in different geographical areas and multiple time zones
Competing priorities and demanding time pressures combined with the need to pay strict attention to detail. Decisions must be made in a swiftly changing and time sensitive environment.

Salary range is expected to be between

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
