UPW & Waste Commissioning Lead
Skills
- 5+ years commissioning UPW and waste systems in semiconductor or mission-critical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of ASHRAE commissioning processes (Levels 2–6) and SEMI F57/F58 standards.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, commissioning plans, and technical specifications.
- Experience with RO, EDI, mixed bed polishers, UV sterilizers, ozone systems, and TOC/resistivity monitoring.
- Proven troubleshooting, testing, and documentation skills for complex fluid and chemical systems.
- Leadership and cross-disciplinary coordination skills to manage contractors and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead ASHRAE Level 2–6 commissioning activities for UPW generation, distribution, and waste treatment systems.
- Verify installations per SEMI F57/F58 and inspect components (RO, EDI, mixed bed, UV, ozone, TOC analyzers, resistivity monitors).
- Perform pre-functional, functional performance, and integrated systems testing including load and emergency scenario testing.
- Coordinate system integration with fab-wide monitoring, control, interlocks and backup operations.
- Validate environmental discharge compliance, chemical containment, leak detection, and neutralization system performance.
- Document test results, prepare commissioning reports, and perform root-cause analysis for deficiencies.
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely commissioning milestones.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field strongly preferred but not required.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- NFPA 70E training and commissioning certification preferred.
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
