Principal ML Engineer, Ad Performance
Skills
- Deep expertise building ML systems for large-scale personalization and recommender systems
- Proven experience architecting platforms serving billions of predictions
- Strong knowledge of deep learning, causal inference, multi-armed bandits, and graph models
- Production ML engineering skills (model deployment, monitoring, A/B testing, feature pipelines)
- Ability to lead technical decisions, influence stakeholders, and translate research to production
Responsibilities
- Define and drive company-wide personalization strategy and technical architecture
- Design, implement, and ship advanced personalization models (GNNs, causal models, bandits) into production
- Solve production challenges including cold start, real-time learning, and exploration/exploitation
- Create and enforce ML architecture patterns, design standards, and reusable infrastructure
- Lead multi-quarter, cross-functional initiatives that impact core business metrics
- Mentor and coach senior ML engineers and raise engineering standards across teams
- Represent the company's technical brand via publications, talks, or open-source contributions
- Champion privacy-preserving personalization and responsible AI practices
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- Master's or PhD in a relevant field preferred but not required
