Skills
- Proven experience architecting and operating ML platforms at scale for personalization and recommendations
- Deep expertise in deep learning, causal inference, multi-armed bandits, and graph-based models
- Track record of 0→1 innovation and shipping production recommender/personalization systems
- Ability to design for real-time inference, online learning, and low-latency serving
- Strong systems and product-minded engineering skills, with emphasis on maintainability and experimentation
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize company-wide personalization strategy, architecture, and standards
- Design and deploy production-scale ML systems handling billions of predictions with high reliability and low latency
- Solve core personalization challenges including cold start, real-time learning, and exploration/exploitation
- Implement advanced models (graph neural networks, causal models, bandit algorithms) and reusable infrastructure
- Lead multi-quarter, cross-functional initiatives that align ML work to business KPIs
- Mentor senior ML engineers and raise technical standards across teams
- Represent Launch Potato externally through talks, publications, or open-source contributions
- Champion privacy-preserving personalization and responsible AI practices
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in ML or related field is a plus but not required
