Job Title

Medical School Admissions Consultant

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced, passionate Medical School Admissions Consultant to join the Kaplan team. In this role, you'll support students throughout their medical school admission journey, whether their goal is a DO, MD, or an offshore program. Medical School Admissions Consultants have one objective — building futures, one success story at a time!

Medical School Admissions Consultants tailor their approach to the unique needs of each client to guide them through the admissions process. Our clients often seek advice on writing their personal statements, completing application materials, identifying target schools, preparing for admissions interviews, and addressing complicating factors.

As a Medical School Admissions Consultant, you will:

  • Guide students throughout their entire medical school application journey. You'll help them identify and apply to target schools.
  • Support students in compiling a competitive application by reviewing personal statements, conducting mock interviews via video chat, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Mentor students on their journey through video chat, emails, phone calls/texts. You’re quick to respond, since you know the value of quick and reliable guidance during this time.
  • Deliver prompt feedback on personal statements and additional email support for students.
  • Lead online events or workshops focused on specific parts of the medical school admissions process.

You are:

  • Experienced. You have expert knowledge of the med school application process and experience mentoring others. An MD or DO is strongly preferred. Medical school admissions committee experience is required.
  • Enthusiastic. You can captivate any audience with your excitement and your expertise, making you a great communicator. When you work with students, it’s clear that you’re invested in their journey.
  • Resourceful. You’re quick, clever, and solution-oriented. You can take information and run with it — you don’t rely on a lot of direction. You’re comfortable working online with students and learning new systems.
  • Self-Motivated. You’re comfortable working independently, motivating yourself to accomplish anything, and managing your time efficiently.

Requirements

  • Medical School Admissions committee experience
  • MD or DO strongly preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Benefits include:

  • Access to Health and Welfare Plans
  • 401K plan
  • Free or discounted classes for you or immediate family members
