Staff Software Engineer - SRE/DevEx (Remote)

This role offers the opportunity to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of mission-critical systems in a fast-paced, fully remote engineering environment. You will be at the intersection of application engineering and operational excellence, implementing Site Reliability Engineering best practices, improving observability, and embedding reliability across platforms. The position combines technical expertise with collaboration across engineering, product, and operational teams, allowing you to influence both technology and culture. Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and performant systems across the platform.
• Lead Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps initiatives, embedding best practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to enhance observability, monitoring, and performance metrics.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure service reliability and adherence to Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Drive improvements in automation, CI/CD pipelines, and operational workflows to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge to foster a culture of reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps with a track record of independent project execution.
• Strong experience with SRE principles in mission-critical environments, including monitoring, alerting, logging, and application performance.
• 5+ years of Kubernetes and AWS experience.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams to drive systemic change.
• Proven ability to manage complex incidents and maintain high service reliability under pressure.
• Preferred: experience with Harness, enterprise mission-critical systems, and a growth mindset with high self-awareness in problem-solving.
