Staff Infrastructure Engineer (Remote - US)

We are seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure that supports enterprise-grade applications. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, security, and product to ensure platform reliability and performance. You will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that improve systems, implement best practices, and mentor other engineers. This position combines hands-on engineering with strategic influence, allowing you to shape infrastructure architecture, improve operational efficiency, and help maintain a culture of security-first engineering. Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, execution, and alignment across multiple technical domains.
• Lead and execute infrastructure initiatives that improve reliability, performance, and security across shared and squad-level codebases.
• Participate in on-call rotations as primary point of contact to maintain system reliability and respond to operational incidents.
• Mentor and support other engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and a positive team culture.
• Apply modern DevOps practices to optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and operational tooling.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging AI and security technologies, ensuring infrastructure meets industry standards and compliance requirements (FedRAMP, SOC2, ISO27001).

• 8+ years of experience in Linux-based infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS), Terraform, Kubernetes, and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Cloudflare, OpenSearch).
• Expertise in Site Reliability Engineering with a strong focus on secure-by-default infrastructure design and contemporary InfraSec principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions) and pipeline optimization.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects quickly, often with dependencies across multiple technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation (once every four weeks, 9 am–9 pm PT / 12 pm–12 am ET).
• Familiarity with emerging AI technologies, model deployment, and data compliance practices.
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance requirements, such as FedRAMP, SOC2, and ISO27001, is a plus.
