Staff Engineer, Full Stack (Remote, US)

We are seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of sophisticated software systems. In this role, you will bridge backend and frontend technologies to create seamless, high-quality user experiences while guiding architectural decisions across projects. You will mentor engineering teams, collaborate closely with product and design groups, and uphold software best practices across the organization. Accountabilities

• Lead architectural design for complex software projects across backend and frontend systems.
• Build, integrate, and maintain features that connect backend infrastructure with frontend applications.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance engineering culture.
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and solutions.
• Ensure high-quality code, adherence to best practices, and exceptional user experience standards.
• Evaluate, adopt, and implement new technologies to improve system performance and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making.

• 7+ years of industry experience in software development with full-stack expertise.
• Strong backend experience (e.g., Python, FastAPI) and frontend experience (e.g., TypeScript, React).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and advanced SQL skills.
• Proven experience designing complex software systems with strong architectural knowledge.
• Ability to work independently, manage large projects, and solve complex technical problems.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, pixel-perfect user interfaces.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with scalable distributed systems and cloud-based event-driven architectures (AWS Lambda, GCP Pub/Sub).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
• Knowledge of server-side rendering, modern frontend testing frameworks, or web accessibility standards.
• Experience in the electric power or energy sector.

• Competitive full-time salary range: $170,000 – $220,000, based on experience.
