- Strong Java programming with Spring and Spring Boot
- AWS cloud experience (EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, SQS) and event-driven architectures
- CI/CD pipelines and automation experience
- Production troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship
- Understanding of cloud security and federal compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend applications and microservices using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Build scalable, highly available, and performant solutions on AWS (EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB)
- Integrate and operate messaging systems such as Kafka or SQS for event-driven architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, infrastructure, engineering) to translate requirements into designs and deliverables
- Support and troubleshoot provisioning and production incidents, isolate application issues, and coordinate remediation with other teams
- Work directly with Federal customers to define secure solutions aligned with FedRAMP and cloud compliance requirements
- Maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance, work from a SCIF as required, and provide 24x7 coverage including night and holiday shifts
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Relevant professional experience can substitute for formal degree
- U.S. citizenship required (clearance eligibility)
