- Familiarity with PKI/certificates, security and export control considerations for IoT systems
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Define and drive architectural vision for distributed, real-time systems processing massive IoT/RFID data
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and coordinate across product, firmware, hardware, and silicon teams
- Design and implement backend systems, APIs, data pipelines, mobile and frontend integrations
- Own features end-to-end from concept through deployment and production support
- Build event-driven systems using message queues, streaming platforms, and MQTT
- Solve performance, scalability, and reliability challenges at high throughput
- Mentor and coach senior and staff engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance
- Establish engineering best practices, patterns, and standards to increase velocity and long-term scalability
- Make critical technology choices aligned with business needs and present proposals to leadership
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to inform strategic technical decisions
Education
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred but not required for strong candidates
