This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr Project Manager (IT) in the United States.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex IT projects from inception through delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards. The Sr Project Manager will oversee cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, architects, and quality engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions on modern cloud and microservices platforms. You will be responsible for coordinating technical efforts, managing project timelines, and driving strategic initiatives while fostering collaboration between onshore and offshore teams. This position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable project plans.
· Lead and manage IT projects, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and hands-on oversight for development teams.
· Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and technical specifications while ensuring adherence to coding and architectural standards.
· Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and architects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
· Facilitate code reviews, quality assurance processes, and continuous integration/deployment practices.
· Oversee cloud-based and microservices architecture implementations, including containerized environments and data streaming technologies.
· Support cross-functional collaboration, integrating onshore and offshore team efforts effectively.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives, promoting innovation, best practices, and knowledge sharing across teams.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
· 10+ years of software development experience with at least 6 years in Java/J2EE and Microservices-based architectures.
· Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
· Strong understanding of software development frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, REST, JPA, Hibernate) and API management.
· Hands-on experience with data processing and streaming tools such as GCP Dataflow and Cloud Composer.
· Proven ability to manage complex projects, communicate technical concepts clearly, and mentor team members.
· Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, Angular, Bootstrap) and SQL databases is a plus.
· Agile Scrum experience and familiarity with software monitoring, performance tuning, and DevOps practices.
· Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
