Software Engineer, Managed Search (Remote - US)

This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain a high-performance managed search platform, delivering critical services to enterprise customers and strategic partners. The engineer will work on backend systems, APIs, and integrations, contributing to the scalability, reliability, and automation of the platform. This position involves tackling complex production issues, optimizing workflows, and collaborating across teams to ensure a superior customer experience. Accountabilities

·         Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations for high availability and scalability of the managed search product.

·         Architect solutions for enterprise clients, designing and implementing robust features and integrations.

·         Enhance deployment and provisioning workflows, with a focus on automation to reduce operational overhead.

·         Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis to maintain system stability.

·         Collaborate with product owners, QA, and engineering teams to deliver features from ideation to deployment.

·         Contribute to code quality through code reviews, documentation, and adherence to best practices.

·         Strong experience in backend development using Python and the Django framework.

·         Proficiency with JavaScript and Node.js.

·         Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.

·         Experience building and consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL).

·         Knowledge of search platforms such as Solr or Elasticsearch is a plus.

·         Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.

·         Demonstrated ability to solve complex production issues and optimize system performance.

·         Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a commercial software environment.

·         Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently manage significant projects.
