Software Engineer - Java (Remote - US)

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of high-performance web applications and supporting tools in a collaborative, agile environment. The Software Engineer will be responsible for building user interface and server-side components, maintaining code quality, and participating in design and code reviews. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to deliver scalable, standards-based solutions. Accountabilities

·         Design, develop, and maintain user interface and server-side components using approved frameworks.

·         Participate in design and code reviews, providing constructive feedback and troubleshooting issues.

·         Collaborate with team members on architecture, design, and coding to ensure high-performance systems.

·         Actively engage in internal learning initiatives, communities of practice, and skill development opportunities.

·         Ensure compliance with quality programs, standards, and procedures throughout the development lifecycle.

·         Maintain security, privacy, and safety standards in all areas of responsibility.

·         Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong development background.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, relevant certification, or equivalent experience.

·         Proficiency in Java SE & EE, ORM frameworks, MVC frameworks, XML, Restful APIs, and client-side scripting.

·         Experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium or Cucumber; experience with Java messaging is a plus.

·         Knowledge of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, microservices, relational databases, and stored procedures.

·         Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, feature-driven development) and test-driven development.

·         Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across teams.
