Senior Software Engineer, Spatial Intelligence

We are seeking an innovative and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join a growing team dedicated to building next-generation spatial intelligence and wayfinding solutions. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications that support customers’ accessibility, navigation, and sustainability goals. You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional experts to architect high-impact features and deliver world-class user experiences. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain distributed cloud applications supporting wayfinding and spatial intelligence solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and scalable code, following best practices for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver impactful new features.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve software issues to ensure seamless product performance.
• Contribute to software architecture discussions, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in Agile development cycles and proactively communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

• 5+ years of professional programming experience using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with microservice and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience developing in cloud environments with Infrastructure as Code (AWS preferred).
• Strong front-end development skills using React or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and automated testing practices.
• Experience with modern development tools such as Node.js, Yarn, git, and Figma.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical ideas clearly.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and mentorship capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile teams with a collaborative, results-driven mindset.
• Preferred: knowledge of geospatial technologies, interactive maps, cartography, or serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes).

• Competitive salary range: $120,800 – $217,400, depending on experience and location.
