In this role, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team building a high-performance cloud platform that connects users to cutting-edge quantum computing technology. You will collaborate closely with product, applications, and systems teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable APIs and cloud services that enhance developer experience and accessibility. Accountabilities

·        Design, build, validate, and deploy backend services and APIs for a cloud platform connecting users to advanced computing systems.

·        Collaborate with product, applications, infrastructure, and scientific teams to ensure robust and scalable solutions.

·        Maintain and extend cloud platform functionality while ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.

·        Participate in on-call rotations to support platform reliability and operational excellence.

·        Contribute to improving developer experience through innovative solutions and efficient workflows.

·        Collaborate with team members to review code, optimize processes, and deliver high-quality software.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

·        5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a team environment.

·        Strong experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, serverless) and designing scalable, robust services.

·        Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Go, JavaScript, or Python.

·        Experience building APIs, libraries, and developer-facing platforms.

·        Excellent collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills.

·        Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

·        7+ years of professional software engineering experience.

·        3+ years working with Kubernetes and SQL databases.

·        Experience with OAuth, OpenID, SAML authentication.

·        Prior development experience on Google Cloud Platform or other large-scale cloud platforms.

·        Competitive base salary: USD $141,670 - $185,482 per year, with variable bonus and equity opportunities.
