Accountabilities:

• Design and implement quantum chemistry algorithms tailored for scalable and practical applications.
• Collaborate across engineering, cloud, compiler, and hardware teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical workflows.
• Leverage computational chemistry knowledge to assess state-of-the-art approaches, tradeoffs, and scaling behavior.
• Partner with global clients to define, explore, and solve complex real-world problems on quantum systems.
• Build reusable software platforms that broaden quantum computing accessibility and impact.
• Contribute to open science via peer-reviewed publications and contributions to codebases.

• Doctorate in Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field — or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a computational chemist (DFT, MD, AFQMC, coupled-cluster, etc.).
• Solid foundation in linear algebra, probability, symmetry, and quantum algorithm theory.
• Proficiency in Python and Qiskit; C++ knowledge is a plus.
• Experience working with clients and collaborators across time zones and geographies.
• Bonus: Prior R&D experience in bio/chem/pharma industries; hands-on development of NISQ-era hybrid quantum solutions.

• Competitive base salary range: $141,670 – $185,482, plus bonus and equity.
