Senior Sales Engineer - Enterprise

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Sales Engineer - Enterprise in the United States.

This role serves as the technical backbone for enterprise sales, partnering closely with account executives to deliver solutions that address complex customer needs. The Senior Sales Engineer will design, propose, and demonstrate the value of cybersecurity and IT solutions to enterprise clients, translating technical capabilities into business impact. This position requires strong expertise in networking, security, identity management, cloud services, and cross-platform systems. You will lead technical presentations, overcome sales obstacles, and act as a trusted advisor, representing both the customer and the company internally. Success in this role combines autonomy, collaboration, and a customer-focused mindset, with occasional travel within the St. Louis region.


  • Accountabilities:
  • Partner with account executives to deliver technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-value engagements to enterprise customers.
  • Educate customers on business applications and the value of security and IT solutions.
  • Collaborate to design and propose technical architectures that meet customer requirements.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally and the technical advocate externally.
  • Overcome obstacles in the sales process and ensure solutions align with customer needs.
  • Support sales qualification and contribute to territory growth and account planning.
  • Create strong relationships with technical and executive stakeholders to drive customer success.

  • Requirements:
  • 2+ years in a customer-facing role, ideally in presales engineering or consulting focused on security solutions.
  • 5+ years supporting, delivering, or designing enterprise IT systems, with security-focused experience preferred.
  • Extensive technical knowledge in Networking, Security, Identity Management, Cloud Services, and Windows/Linux/Mac systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; CISSP, GCIH, CISA, or CISM certifications a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and prior experience selling XaaS or SOC/Security solutions is advantageous.
  • Must demonstrate autonomy, ownership of problems and solutions, and a results-driven approach.
