Senior Manager, Internal Communications

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Chainguard. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Internal Communications in United States.

As a Senior Manager of Internal Communications, you will lead the strategy and execution of company-wide communications that build alignment, trust, and engagement across a fully remote organization. You will partner with senior leadership to craft clear, compelling messages, manage key communication channels, and drive initiatives that strengthen culture and employee experience. This role requires a combination of strategic vision, editorial excellence, and exceptional program management skills. You will plan and execute internal events, maintain executive messaging consistency, and measure the impact of communications to continuously improve engagement. Success in this position ensures employees are informed, inspired, and aligned with organizational priorities while fostering a connected and high-performing team environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and execute the internal communications strategy to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment across all channels.
  • Manage and enhance key communication platforms, including weekly All Hands, internal newsletters, and bi-annual company summits.
  • Collaborate with executives to create messaging, scripts, FAQs, and change management communications.
  • Build frameworks and playbooks for repeatable communications related to strategic initiatives, product launches, and organizational changes.
  • Uphold and evolve the company’s internal tone of voice — clear, empathetic, purposeful, and approachable.
  • Utilize feedback and data to measure the effectiveness of communications and iterate on strategies accordingly.
  • Plan and coordinate large-scale internal events, ensuring seamless execution and engaging experiences.
  • 10+ years of experience in internal communications, executive communications, or related fields, preferably in high-growth or remote-first environments.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editorial skills, able to translate complex topics into clear, human language.
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management, with experience partnering with C-level leaders.
  • High emotional intelligence and sound judgment, especially in sensitive or high-stakes communication situations.
  • Proven program management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines with precision.
  • Experience running large-scale internal events such as All Hands and company summits.
  • Comfort with remote-first and asynchronous communication workflows.
  • Creative, empathetic, and solutions-oriented approach to communications.
  • Competitive base salary range of $150,000–$180,000 USD.
  • Fully remote and flexible work environment with team meetups and bi-annual destination summits.
  • Monthly $400 stipend for coworking, phone, and internet expenses.
