Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain fullstack features across the platform using React and Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, DevOps, and Customer Care teams to define, scope, and implement new features.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making processes.
• Investigate and resolve performance, scalability, security, and data integrity issues.
• Contribute to research and development efforts to ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Apply agile best practices, iterative planning, and test-driven development to deliver high-quality software efficiently.

To succeed in this position, you should bring:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a solid foundation in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
• Proven experience building and shipping fullstack SaaS applications in an agile, test-driven environment.
• Expertise in React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, or the ability and willingness to learn quickly.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design principles.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills in complex or ambiguous situations.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience in the Payments industry and/or knowledge of PCI/DSS compliance is a plus.
