Front End Engineer II (US Remote)

The Front End Engineer II’s primary responsibility is developing and maintaining high-quality front end components, ensuring they are scalable, reusable, and performant. This role involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create seamless user experiences, optimizing application performance, and ensuring code quality through testing and reviews. Additionally, the Front End Engineer II will assist with mentoring junior developers, contributing to agile ceremonies, and documenting key workflows to support the team’s growth and efficiency.

• Collaborate with the product team to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain front end components, ensuring they are modular, reusable, and optimized for future scalability.
• Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability, including managing complex state and using appropriate data structures.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, working closely with UX designers to validate and refine features.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and adherence to software development best practices, using frameworks such as Jasmine or Karma.
• Debug and resolve technical issues across the application, ensuring a seamless user experience and minimal downtime.
• Participate in team planning and agile ceremonies, providing input on task estimations, contributing to sprint goals, and assisting in story breakdown and prioritization.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define and integrate APIs, ensuring consistency and optimal performance across the front end and backend layers.
• Document key components and workflows to support knowledge transfer, scalability, and efficient onboarding of new team members.

• Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical related discipline. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirement.
• 5+ years of experience in front end development ideally focused on Angular.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
• Solid understanding of component-based architecture and state management in Angular.
• Knowledge of AWS services, including deployment, monitoring, and management of front end applications.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating front end with backend services.
• Familiarity with tools like Webpack, NPM, and Angular CLI.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and follow industry best practices.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile development environments and participating in Scrum or Kanban processes.
• Security Testing: Basic knowledge of security testing practices and tools to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.

• This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be expected to work in or around computers and printers.
• The nature of the work is sedentary, and the employee will be sitting most of the time.
• Essential physical functions of the job include typing and the repetitive motion to utilize computer software and hardware continuously throughout the day.
